It all started in May 2013. Oklahoma suffered a series of devastating tornadoes. Our team decided to help out with the relief efforts and gave $100 of each closing to the United Way, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and the Salvation Army. By the end of the year, more than $4,000 was donated to these organizations.
We loved the feeling of giving back to our neighbors and our community so we decided to take our giving a step further. We were able to see the amazing work and potential of a program to give back to our community. In 2014, 2015 and 2016 we donated $100 of every closed transaction to our clients favorite, local non-profits and other community efforts, which totaled over $25,000.
We have grown Keys to the City to include even more strategic giving. The Wolek Group continues to contribute $100 from every closing to Keys to the City. This amount is divided between our clients favorite non-profit charity and classes, mentorship programs and scholarships for our youth.
Jennie Wolek, founder of Keys to the City and Wolek Real Estate Group CEO, is a certified trainer for Quantum Leap: A World Changer Mindset. This program is for 18-24 year olds to give them the tools and mindset to have an amazing life and to get started on it now. Jennie’s passion for continual learning and growth fuels her to share her past experiences, both the good and the bad, with our youth. Her goal is to inspire them to dream big by starting small. The course provides simple models and strategies which are easy to apply and put into immediate action.
Quantum Leap (QL), created by Gary Keller, has been taught to tens of thousands of people for the last 15 years and the content has changed many lives. The QL adaptation is specifically for young adults, to have powerful conversations that open their mind to a world of potential and an abundant life. Our young adults crave purpose and meaning and QL helps them realize that they really can live as big of life as they can imagine.
Quantum Leap is taught at least four times a year and upcoming events are found at www.kwkc.org. After a young adult attends this course, they may apply for a scholarship from Keys to the City, which is used toward higher education classes, books or supplies. Email your application request to jennie@thewolekgroup.com.
